Stairlift Transfer Solutions
We Can Move Your Stairlift To a New Address For a Fixed Price
If you are either selling your stairlift or moving it to a new home, we can provide a fast and realistically priced stairlift transfer service.
For this to work, normally we require that the stairs in the new home are the same side as your old house and at the very least the stairs are the same length, if not smaller.
Transferring a stairlift takes around 3-4 hours between removal from your old house and reinstall to the new address. If the stairs in the new house is longer then there may be additional rail / parts required which would cost extra.

Before You Commit To Transferring Your Stairlift
If you would like to transfer your stairlift to a new home then the following items should be considered:
- Does the new house have the same or shorter length of stairs? Measure both houses equally to get an idea of the length of each staircase.
- Is the staircase is on the same side as your previous house? For example, if your old stairs was on the right when you walked into the hall then it would also need to be the same in your new house, as stairlifts are handed to the left or right side permanently.
- Is there a plug socket within ample distance to the stairlift?
- Straight stairlifts are normally the only type of lifts that can be moved, as curved stairlifts (stairs with turns) are made specifically for the house it was installed in.
Around half of the time a stairlift is usually good to transfer to your new home, if it’s not then we would advise what further steps we would recommend. For example selling your old lift and re-purchasing a second hand or new lift for your new house.
